Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Experience leading mechanical design engineers in a custom equipment/manufacturing environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Vault or similar engineering document/data management systems.
• Experience with FEA analysis and interpretation of results.
• Experience in a custom fabrication/manufacturing environment with sheet-metal fabrication and welded assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor a team of 2-4 Mechanical Design Engineers.
• Manage engineering activities and deliverables for multiple custom projects.
• Establish, monitor, and maintain engineering project schedules and milestones.
• Coordinate engineering priorities and resources to keep projects on schedule.
• Interface directly with customers to understand requirements and report project status.
• Lead internal and external design reviews and related technical discussions.
