System One, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Team Lead for the 2nd shift in Ruther Glen, VA. You will oversee daily production/assembly operations, coordinate workload, and coach assemblers on process, quality and safety while working alongside the team.

The role requires 4+ years in assembly/manufacturing with prior leadership experience and the ability to read drawings and schematics. Expect a 2nd shift schedule with potential overtime and a direct-hire arrangement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma plus 4+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience (or closely related).
• Prior manufacturing leadership experience (leading a small team, directing work, on-the-job coaching).
• Ability to interpret drawings, schematics, and engineering documentation.
• Strong communication skills (clear direction, coordination, escalation when appropriate).

Responsabilités

• Lead day-to-day execution for a team of assemblers (tasking, pacing, priorities, workflow).
• Provide hands-on support and technical guidance during mechanical, electrical, and system assembly.
• Monitor quality, confirm work meets standards, and help address defects/rework needs.
• Troubleshoot routine to moderately complex assembly issues and elevate when needed.
• Communicate schedule updates, material needs, and risks to production leadership.
• Train, coach, and mentor newer team members on process, tools, safety, and expectations.
• Enforce safe work practices/PPE and stop work when unsafe conditions exist.
• Maintain organization/5S mindset: documentation, materials readiness, tools/equipment availability
