Job summary

Leonardo DRS is seeking an experienced Lead Assembler for System Integration to join the second shift in Germantown, MD. The candidate will lead and train a manufacturing team, adapting quickly to evolving operations and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Ideal applicants have extensive assembly experience, leadership capabilities, and the ability to interpret prints and specifications, with a focus on meeting customer commitments on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience in the specialty area.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as team lead for lower-level specialists producing quality work to standards.
• Work under minimal supervision on duties requiring advanced skills.
• Perform detailed tasks with deeper knowledge of processes.
• Plan and accomplish assigned goals using experience and judgment.
• Communicate with Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, and Sales.
• Guide others and resolve complex problems.
• Orient and train junior staff.
