Job summary

Advanced Energy is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing and repair operations, ensuring safe, efficient, and timely production of quality products. This temporary assignment supports increased demand with focus on staffing, scheduling, resource allocation and employee relations while fostering a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Experience leading teams in production supervision, employee development, performance management, process improvement, and production planning.
• Working knowledge of forecasting, capacity planning, budgeting, and resource allocation processes.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to coordinate multiple projects, schedules, and competing demands.
• Demonstrated ability to address employee relations matters, resolve conflicts, and manage performance and corrective action processes.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing customer requirements, production demands, material availability, and priorities while maintaining quality and delivery.
• Strong collaborative leadership style with cross-functional decision-making and problem-solving.
• Knowledge of employment laws, labor relations, and manufacturing policies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficient with SAP or similar ERP systems.
• Lean manufacturing, demand-driven production, and continuous improvement knowledge.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Commitment to safety, quality, and employee engagement.

Responsibilities

• Develops, communicates, and implements short-term plans with resource planning and prioritization.
• Applies manufacturing concepts and tools to develop a functional organization.
• Drives the team to meet metrics and leads improvement projects.
• Provides coaching and supports professional growth of employees.
• Responsible for staffing activities including hiring, performance appraisal, promotion, discipline, and termination.
• Develops structures promoting team ownership of continuous improvement and corrective actions.
• Collaborates with Production Planning, Materials, Purchasing, Engineering to optimize products and processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
