Job summary

BAE Systems, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Floor Support Engineering II for 2nd shift at our York, PA facility.

You will spend up to 90% on the shop floor resolving manufacturing issues across Fabrication, Assembly and Garage, providing technical support on welding, maintenance, and process improvements. The role emphasizes teamwork, CAD proficiency, problem-solving and applying lean/six sigma concepts to production.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical field is required.
Ability to work independently with minimal guidance and communicate effectively.
Proficiency with CAD programs and model manipulation.

Responsibilities

Provide engineering floor support for welding fabrication on combat products.
Analyze design specs, drawings and test results to ensure compliance with standards.
Develop design changes, rework instructions and welding standards.
Support repairs, process improvements and lean/six sigma initiatives.
Investigate root causes and implement corrective actions for fabrication and assembly.
Collaborate with teams and interface with internal/external customers.
