Job summary

BAE Systems is seeking experienced welders to support vehicle fabrication on 2nd and 3rd shifts in York, PA. You will set up and operate welding equipment, weld various alloys, and work with hand tools and cranes to support production. You must pass written and practical weld tests and collaborate with Supervisors, Engineers and Inspectors.

The role offers a starting wage of $35.56 per hour with a $1.25 shift differential for 2nd or 3rd shift and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years weld experience with a High School diploma or GED.
• 0-1 years weld experience with a Trade School certificate or College degree.
• Proficiency in using personal computers or other data acquisition devices.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate handheld or machine guided welding equipment.
• Weld using MIG, TIG, Stick or related processes per specs.
• Operate cranes, grinders and hand tools as needed on the shop floor.
• Interact with Supervisors, Manufacturing Engineers and Inspectors to ensure quality.
