Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Maintenance Technical Apprentice to learn on-the-job skills for maintaining buildings, industrial systems, and equipment. You will be part of Engineering and Technical Services, supporting preventive maintenance and repairs.

Role includes training from engineers, safety procedures, and energy management practices. Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States now and in the future.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Receive training from current engineers in proper job safety and repair procedures.
• Observe engineers while they perform preventive maintenance and repairs on facility mechanical and electrical systems.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Work with management to ensure energy management and efficiency of systems.
• Inspect new or existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Follow a set procedure in the performance of repetitive tasks or job activities.
• Operate with clearly defined duties and limited discretion.
