Job summary

Tyson Foods in Sedalia, MO seeks a Maintenance Technician to perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment under training and supervision. You will learn and operate the CMMS, assist with rebuilding equipment, and participate in shift rotations while upholding safety standards.

Preferred candidates bring industrial or electrical maintenance knowledge, experience with hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabrication, and a willingness to complete the Maintenance Skills Training Program.

Qualifications

• At least 3 months mechanical experience or enrolled/completed automotive/mechanical training.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Able to train in and operate high-tech machinery and CMMS.
• Willingness to complete Maintenance Skills Training Levels 1–4 as specified.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment under training and supervision.
• Assist with rebuilding equipment as needed.
• Conduct facility repairs within assigned areas.
• Make machine adjustments during production and after mechanical failures.
• Learn and utilize the CMMS.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and communicate effectively with appropriate personnel.
• Participate in shift and/or department rotations as needed.
• Follow all safety regulations and procedures.
