Job summary

Bremer Manufacturing is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead and develop the maintenance team, ensuring uptime of production equipment and facilities.

The role emphasizes ~70% hands-on maintenance and ~30% supervision, planning, and coordinating projects, with an emphasis on safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and manage spare parts inventory.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Previous experience leading, training, or supervising maintenance personnel is preferred.
• An Associate Degree or technical training in industrial maintenance, electromechanical technology, automation, or a related field is preferred; equivalent manufacturing maintenance experience and training will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance department as a working supervisor on the plant floor, prioritizing safety and reliability.
• Spend ~70% of the day performing hands-on maintenance and ~30% supervising, planning, scheduling, and coordinating activities.
• Prioritize breakdowns, preventive maintenance, and project work to support production schedules and minimize downtime.
• Coach, train, and develop maintenance staff through daily direction and hands-on support.
• Develop and maintain routine, preventive, and predictive maintenance schedules for equipment and facilities.
• Collaborate with Production and Engineering to troubleshoot chronic issues and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with external contractors and vendors as needed for specialized work.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and spare parts inventory.
