Job summary

Sysco Redistribution Center Facilities is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of colleagues in maintaining ammonia refrigeration, HVAC, fire protection, dock, and warehouse equipment. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and adherence to food safety standards while coordinating with external contractors.

The supervisor will schedule, assign, and monitor work through maintenance software, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5 years maintenance experience.
• Four (4) years of supervisory maintenance experience, ammonia refrigeration preferred.
• Electrical knowledge required; energy management system knowledge preferred.
• Certification on material handling equipment required, or ability to become certified; ammonia operator certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Hands-on repairs and maintenance work.
• Manage building maintenance for operations and office areas.
• Develop procedures for preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance for systems.
• Monitor maintenance logs and checklists; schedule and monitor outside contractors.
• Requisition tools, equipment, and supplies; inspect work for conformance to plans.
• Maintain sanitation program and safety compliance; ensure secure facilities.
