Job summary

G.S. Precision, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance team in a precision manufacturing environment serving aerospace/defense customers.

You will drive safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment, mentor technicians, and coordinate with Production and Engineering to minimize downtime. This hands-on leadership role requires strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, experience with CNC systems (Mazak/HAAS), PLCs, and the ability to

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or cert preferred.
• 5+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience.
• Experience leading or supervising maintenance personnel.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience troubleshooting hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic diagrams.
• Experience with CNC equipment such as Mazak/HAAS.
• Experience with PLCs, ladder logic, or machine controls.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple maintenance needs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop Maintenance Technicians; set safety, quality, and productivity expectations.
• Collaborate with Production to minimize downtime and respond to equipment issues.
• Plan and prioritize preventive and corrective maintenance; track performance.
• Provide hands-on leadership on the production floor during maintenance activities.
• Guide root-cause analyses and drive permanent corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Engineering for reliability improvements and equipment upgrades.
• Maintain maintenance records and ensure timely, accurate documentation.
• Communicate status, timelines, and risks to management and production teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and effective preventive/predictive maintenance programs.
