Job summary

Holland Residential LLC in Oakland, CA, is seeking an experienced maintenance professional to join Vespr community. The role combines hands-on repair work with supervisory duties, spending most time on maintenance tasks while supporting the Maintenance Manager and coordinating with outside contractors.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2–3 years in property maintenance, knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety practices.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two to three years previous experience in property management maintenance or related trade.
• Older properties (5+ years) may also require previous renovation experience

Responsibilities

• Maintain the physical condition of the property according to company standards and ensure timely repairs.
• Perform 90–95% hands-on repairs/maintenance; spend remaining time supervising staff and contractors.
• Prioritize, organize, and schedule service requests and maintenance tasks with technicians.
• Assist Maintenance Manager with scheduling and supervising staff and outside contractors.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and tools; use purchase orders and bidding procedures.
• Contribute to a preventative maintenance program to minimize emergencies.
• Follow safety programs and promote safe work practices on-site.
• Participate in required company training classes and support departmental budgeting.
• Maintain professional relationships with staff and protect resident confidentiality.
