Job summary

The Inn at Cedar Falls Inc. is seeking a knowledgeable Maintenance Department Lead to oversee our maintenance team and ensure facilities meet safety and quality standards for guests and staff.

You will manage carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems, coordinate with departments, and drive efficient, safe operations with budget oversight.

This hands-on role requires strong organizational skills and clear communication with staff, vendors, and residents.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years experience in general facility maintenance.
• In-depth knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electric, HVAC and basic mechanics.
• Supervisory maintenance or construction management experience preferred.
• Ability to quickly diagnose the root cause of failures and suggest appropriate solutions.
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with site staff, external vendors, and residents.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision, direction and guidance of the Operations Manager: Implement and oversee day to day operational aspects of facility maintenance including accommodations, grounds, restaurants and guest services.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure seamless operations and guest safety and satisfaction.
• Carry out and oversee operational policies and procedures.
• Monitor and improve efficiency and effectiveness of the operational processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
• Respond to after hours calls and ensure prompt response to guest needs and concerns to maintain guest satisfaction.
• Manage budgets, resources and staff efficiently and effectively.
