Job summary

Tramec is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor – Machining to lead the machining department on the 3rd shift. The candidate will actively participate on the production floor, help with setups, inspections, and process improvements while directing and developing staff.

Required is strong machining background, hands-on leadership, and solid knowledge of GD&T and quality inspection. A background in safety, productivity, and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years hands-on machining experience.
• Previous supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Strong machining knowledge including setup and troubleshooting.
• Strong quality inspection and precision measurement experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and direct machining employees on 3rd shift.
• Assign employees and machines based on production requirements and workload.
• Involve on production floor; hands-on support for machining operations and setups.
• Assist with machine setups, tooling, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor schedules, machine performance, downtime, scrap, and rework.
• Read/interpret drawings, perform inspections, and use inspection tools.
• Enforce safety, quality, productivity, and attendance policies.
• Identify opportunities to reduce scrap and downtime and improve processes.
