Tramec Sloan in Galion, OH is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor – Machining for 3rd shift to lead the machining department on the production floor. This hands‑on role requires expertise in machining operations, setups, troubleshooting, inspections, and process improvements while directing and developing staff.

The position emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and on‑time delivery, with a focus on driving continuous improvement and strong leadership on a night shift basis.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3–5+ years hands‑on machining experience.
• Previous supervisory/lead experience preferred.
• Strong machining knowledge including setup and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, blueprints and GD&T.
• Strong problem‑solving and organizational skills.
• Willingness to work 2nd shift hands‑on environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and direct machining employees on 2nd shift.
• Assign employees and machines based on production requirements and workload.
• Remain actively involved in machining operations and provide hands‑on support.
• Assist with machine setups, tooling, adjustments, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor production schedules, machine performance, downtime, scrap, and rework.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Perform and oversee first‑piece, in‑process, and final inspections.
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and delivery requirements.
