Job summary

Hillyard, Inc. in East Hartford, CT is hiring an Installation & Sales Support Specialist to work with customers and the Sales team in the field. You’ll install dispensers, assist demonstrations, and support floor care projects while learning how our products solve facility challenges.

You don’t need a traditional sales background. This hands-on role emphasizes customer service, tool use, and relationship building as you gain product knowledge and sales experience within a stable, long‑standing

Qualifications

• Hands-on, dependable and comfortable with customers.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and completing installations.
• Mechanically inclined with ability to learn products and equipment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Organized with attention to detail and follow-through.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record; comfortable driving with a trailer.
• Able to work independently while supporting a team.
• Interested in learning products, equipment, customer needs, and the sales process.

Responsibilities

• Install soap, chemical, and other dispensing systems at customer locations.
• Use basic hand tools to complete installations and minor adjustments.
• Coordinate and schedule customer installations.
• Keep installation tools, supplies, and materials organized and ready for use.
• Work directly with customers while providing friendly, professional service.
• Assist the Sales team with demonstrations, workshops and product education.
• Transport and set up equipment for demonstrations at customer locations.
• Assist with floor refinishing projects and equipment questions.
• Learn about commercial cleaning equipment and how to evaluate customer needs.
• Support warehouse and Sales operations as needed.
