Job summary

My Place Hotels in Tucson seeks a General Manager to lead a small, hands-on team and oversee all hotel operations, from strategic planning to daily guest interactions. You’ll drive guest satisfaction and operational efficiency within a dynamic, multi-role environment.

You will manage HR, safety, quality, maintenance, and community relations while driving sales, monitoring finances, and upholding brand standards. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other basic computer applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills to keep the hotel running smoothly.
• A good grasp of engineering principles to oversee maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of strategies to drive the hotel's success and achieve long-term goals.
• Oversee HR, including hiring, training, scheduling, and managing a small team of diverse employees.
• Ensure safety protocols are followed to protect guests, staff, and property.
• Maintain high standards of quality across all areas of the hotel and guest experience.
• Oversee maintenance and upkeep of the hotel, ensuring everything is in working order.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with the local community to enhance the hotel's reputation.
• Foster a strong connection to the My Place brand and loyalty program Stay Rewarded for employees, guests, and community members.
• Manage the hotel's finances and cash handling to ensure accuracy.
• Assist in driving sales and marketing efforts to promote the property and increase occupancy.
• Make informed decisions that impact operations, staff, and guests.
• Serve as the central point of communication to keep staff informed and motivated.
