Job summary

Med Search Recruiting Network, Inc is seeking a Senior Logistics Specialist to manage international inbound shipments and domestic distribution from our downtown Chicago office. This hands-on role requires taking ownership of shipments, coordinating with freight forwarders and 3PLs, and driving on-time delivery with proactive issue resolution.

You will track orders, monitor KPIs, and optimize logistics processes while maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Excel for shipment tracking and reporting.
• Experience with ERP/logistics management systems.
• SAP experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound international shipments, including ocean freight.
• Communicate with freight forwarders, carriers, 3PLs, and warehouses.
• Track open orders, shipment progress, and schedules.
• Investigate and resolve shipment delays and discrepancies.
• Coordinate inbound containers and warehouse movement of products.
• Monitor 3PL and carrier performance and report KPIs.
• Maintain accurate shipment and logistics records in company systems.
• Collaborate with internal teams to support order fulfillment and domestic distribution.
• Identify inefficiencies and propose practical improvements to logistics processes.
• Own daily logistics activities and follow through without constant direction.
