A1 Garage Door Service in Grand Rapids is seeking a hands-on technician to diagnose and repair garage doors and openers. You will work daily with springs, cables, rollers, motors, and ladders, lifting 75 lbs and enduring extreme temps, with a focus on customer trust and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 21+, valid driver’s license
• 3+ years driving record
• Ability to lift 75 lbs, bend, climb, kneel
• Hands-on mechanical experience or comfort with tools
• Willingness to undergo background check and drug test
• Basic tech comfort (apps, tablets); reading/measuring calculations
• No sales experience required, we teach that

Responsibilities

• Diagnose problems and communicate with homeowners professionally
• Repair and install garage door components (springs, cables, rollers, openers, motors)
• Perform physical work daily, including lifting and climbing
• Sell effectively; commission-based pay, earnings depend on close rate
