Job summary

Shrader Tire & Oil, a family-owned company established in 1948, is seeking a Commercial Fleet Store Manager in South Bend. The role is hands-on, leading tire technicians and service staff to maintain trucks and trailers, oversee operations, and ensure high-quality repairs.

The position requires 5+ years of management in truck maintenance, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and a valid driver’s license. The company offers a strong benefits package and PTO after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of management experience in fleet/truck maintenance.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment; lift up to 50 lb.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Fleet Service Center.
• Supervise tire technicians and mechanics.
• Perform opening/closing procedures; be a key holder.
• Provide in-person, phone, and email customer service.
• Assist with repairs and lead as mechanic when qualified.
• Oversee parts ordering, inventory, and verification.
• Ensure diagnostic inspections and final quality checks.
