Job summary

Shrader Tire & Oil in Detroit is seeking a Commercial Fleet Store Manager to oversee daily operations at the Fleet Service Center and lead tire technicians and mechanics.

You will manage opening/closing procedures, coordinate parts and inventory, and ensure quality inspections while delivering outstanding customer service by phone, email and in person. 5+ years of management in truck/tire maintenance are required; HD truck repair certs preferred. MS Office skills a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of management experience in a trucking/maintenance setting.
• Experience with truck/tire maintenance is preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations of the Fleet Service Center.
• Supervise tire technicians and mechanics.
• Perform opening/closing procedures; key holder responsibilities.
• Provide customer service in person, by phone, and via email.
• Assist with repairs and act as lead mechanic if qualified.
• Oversee parts ordering, inventory, and verification.
• Ensure diagnostic inspections and final quality checks.

Key Responsibilities

Position Requirements

What you need to know and have

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• 5+ years of management experience and truck/tire maintenance
• Heavy Duty Truck Repair certifications (preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physical environment, must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively. Must be able to lift, twist, push/pull, bend, squat, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods of time
