Job summary

Shrader Tire & Oil in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Commercial Tire Technician to support the transportation industry with tire services, maintenance, and roadside assistance. This role requires safety-minded individuals who can handle physically demanding tasks and maintain thorough documentation.

You will perform mounting, installation, inventory management, preventative maintenance, and repairs, with 24/7 on-call rotations and after-hours availability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively.
• Must have a valid Driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to drive a commercial pickup truck.
• Must be available for on-call and after hour service rotation, and own reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Directly responsible for tire services including mounting, installation, inventory, preventative maintenance, repairs, and documentation.
• Emergency Roadside Service during business hours performing flat tire repairs or replacement.
• Night service 24/7 performing roadside flat tire repairs or replacement.
• Ensure preventative maintenance best practices including yard checks, inspections, tread depth and air pressure checks, and related documentation.
• Follow guidelines for mounting and dismounting tires.
