Job summary

MatX Inc. is seeking a Finance Operations Lead to own the FP&A function in Mountain View. This hands-on leader will drive budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and reporting while overseeing finance and accounting operations with internal teams and external accountants.

You will refine financial processes, build discipline, and balance strategic vision with tactical execution in a fast-growing startup environment. Equity is offered alongside a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in finance roles.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
• MBA preferred; CPA/CMA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of core FP&A: planning, forecasting & modeling, budgeting, and reporting.
• Oversee finance & accounting operations, including AR/AP and external accountants.
• Hone and improve processes, controls, and financial discipline for a fast-moving engineering org.
