Job summary

DCS Dock & Door Systems, Inc. is seeking a Field Technician to install, service, and repair loading dock equipment and overhead doors at customer sites in the Los Angeles area.

This full-time role involves traveling to sites, using hand and power tools, performing preventive maintenance, and documenting work performed. Candidates should have mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical drawings, and strong safety awareness.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools in a field, construction, or maintenance environment.
• Ability to read and understand basic technical drawings, manuals, and work orders, and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Comfort working at heights, lifting moderate to heavy loads, and performing physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail when diagnosing and resolving equipment issues.
• Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record suitable for traveling to customer sites.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues in a professional and respectful manner.
• Commitment to safety practices and adherence to company policies and industry regulations.
• Previous experience in dock and door systems, commercial doors, industrial equipment, or a related trade is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical training or certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities
