Washington Water and Fire is expanding its Tacoma market and seeks a hands-on Project Manager - Water Mitigation to build, manage, and scale mitigation operations from the ground up. The role blends field work with leadership, ensuring project profitability, client communication, and SOP enforcement as volume grows.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in mitigation, restoration, or related field.
  • Leadership or crew management experience required.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to read scopes, create estimates, and manage budgets.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day mitigation operations, ensuring smooth workflow across field crews, equipment, and job sites.
  • Conduct on-site inspections to assess water, fire, or mold damage and determine required mitigation steps.
  • Create accurate scopes, estimates, and job plans using company software and industry standards.
  • Lead, mentor, and support technicians to ensure high performance and exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain communication with customers, insurance adjusters, and internal teams throughout the job lifecycle.
  • Manage projects from start to finish, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols, PPE requirements, and industry regulations (IICRC, OSHA, etc.).
  • Oversee equipment setup, moisture readings, photo documentation, and job-site verification.
  • Review and approve all documentation including technician notes, photos, moisture logs, and job summaries.
  • Monitor KPIs and contribute to operational improvements.
  • Assist in inventory oversight, equipment tracking, and resource allocation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, including nights and weekends, for emergency loss response.
