Job summary

CBRC Health & Fitness is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to care for a large, diverse facility. The role covers preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements across buildings, equipment, and outdoor spaces.

You’ll work independently, ensure safety, and provide responsive service to members and staff. The position is full-time, hands-on, with activities ranging from mechanical repairs to assisting with pool-related systems and seasonal outdoor projects.

Qualifications

• Practical problem-solver with ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of facility issues.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and general repair skills.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and building maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs across buildings and grounds.
• Inspect facility systems and spaces to identify maintenance needs before they worsen.
• Handle plumbing, electrical, doors, locks, walls, and other components within scope.
• Maintain lighting and complete minor carpentry, drywall, painting, and finishing tasks.
• Assist with pool and aquatic systems and coordinate specialized service when needed.
• Support maintenance of fitness equipment and outdoor areas as required.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests with safety and urgency.
• Keep organized maintenance areas, inventory, and records.
