Job summary

CBRC Health & Fitness in San Antonio, TX is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for a large, diverse health and fitness facility. This is a hands-on, on-site role requiring practical problem-solving, reliability, and the ability to work around members and staff while delivering professional, responsive service.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, minor repairs, plumbing and electrical tasks, HVAC support, and coordinating with outside contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience in facility or building maintenance.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and general repair skills.
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and building maintenance.
• Experience with preventive maintenance programs is preferred.
• HVAC, pool mechanical systems, fitness equipment, or commercial facility experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs throughout CBRC’s buildings and grounds.
• Inspect facility systems, equipment, and spaces to identify maintenance needs before they become larger problems.
• Troubleshoot and complete general repairs involving plumbing, electrical fixtures, doors, locks, walls, flooring, and other building components.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs such as faucets, toilets, drains, valves, and other fixtures.
• Perform minor electrical troubleshooting and repairs within training and licensing requirements.
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining HVAC systems and coordinate service when needed.
• Support maintenance of pool and aquatic mechanical systems and related components.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and minor repairs of fitness equipment and coordinate specialized service.
• Maintain lighting and replace bulbs/fixtures as needed.
