Job summary

Discovery Village Farmington, operated by Discovery Senior Living, seeks a Facility Operations Supervisor to lead a maintenance team and perform hands-on upkeep across the community. You will supervise daily tasks, coordinate with the Director of Facility Operations, and handle repairs for grounds, buildings, equipment, and apartments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, and prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical school education preferred.
• Two (2) years of job-related maintenance experience preferred.
• Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems.
• General understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, and life safety regulations.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates good judgment and sound decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and assist maintenance team members with daily work assignments and priorities.
• Partner with the Director of Facility Operations to support overall maintenance operations.
• Perform hands-on maintenance tasks throughout the community.
• Complete service requests for repair and maintenance of grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment, and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
• Perform routine maintenance duties including basic plumbing, minor electrical repairs, appliance repair, painting, and refurbishing projects.
• Assist with apartment refurbishing, room readiness, move-ins, and move-outs as assigned.
• Support execution of the preventative maintenance program.
• Assist in monitoring and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration, mechanical, and electrical systems.
• Communicate equipment condition, repair needs, and technical guidance to leadership.
• Maintain tools, repair parts, and inventory of equipment and supplies.
• Ensure maintenance workspaces remain clean, organized, and safe.
• Assist with fire safety procedures and disaster preparedness efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned
