Job summary

Discovery Senior Living seeks a dedicated Facility Operations Assistant to help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents and staff. You will perform routine maintenance on grounds and buildings, assist with HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and complete repair tasks with cost efficiency.

The role supports the preventative maintenance program, handles multiple tasks, and contributes to safety procedures and emergency readiness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; technical school education preferred.
• Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently.
• Familiarity with OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents, guests, and team members.
• Complete routine maintenance requests for grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles.
• Assist in executing the preventative maintenance program.
• Work on heating and air conditioning, water systems, pumps, refrigeration, electrical systems, and emergency generators.
• Carpet and hard surface floor maintenance; deep cleaning and make-ready resident suites.
• Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
