Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories in Albuquerque, NM seeks an enthusiastic R&D Technologist to join the PLM team, supporting development, test, and qualification of the W93 Pathlength Module. Build test hardware, assemble PCBs, and assist in cross-functional testing with engineers.

Onsite work is required and travel may be necessary during development and qualification. The role requires hands-on electronics experience, IPC familiarity, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-performance

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with test and analysis (troubleshooting) of electronics.
• Experience with installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of components.
• Experience assembling and disassembling flight hardware to IPC standards.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams and layouts.
• ESD prevention knowledge and practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Partner with engineers to develop and execute testing of various electronics.
• Assemble and rework printed circuit boards; troubleshoot testing problems.
• Integrate hardware and software; support testing across facilities.
• Travel as needed to support testing during development and qualification.
