Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an experienced Senior/Principal Electronics Technologist to support testing and qualification of nuclear weapons components. The role requires hands-on PCB assembly, wiring, and bench testing at onsite facilities with some travel.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent with 3+ years of related experience and the ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 3+ years of directly relevant experience.
• Experience with test and analysis (troubleshooting) of electronics.
• Experience with installation, testing, repair, and maintenance of components.
• Experience with assembling and disassembling flight hardware to IPC standards.
• Experience with reading schematics, wiring diagrams and layouts.
• ESD prevention knowledge and practices.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute testing of various commercial electronics with engineers.
• Assist on multiple parts being tested and troubleshoot problems.
• Assemble and rework printed circuit boards as required.
• Integrate hardware and software for test environments.
• Travel to support testing during development and qualification.
