Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Early Career Computer Aided Design & PCB Layout Technologist to support PCB layout for large national security programs. You will work with engineers to design, test, and deploy embedded computing solutions onsite.

The role requires PCB layout experience, ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance, and on-site work in New Mexico. Sandia offers extensive benefits, relocation assistance, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience with printed circuit board layout (PCB).
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.
• CID/CID+/CPCD certifications are preferred.
• Experience with Siemens layout tools (PADS and/or Expedition).
• Experience with high-layer-count stack-ups (18+ copper layers).
• PCB layout, testing, and debugging for FPGA/high-speed/large memory applications.
• Ability to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Layout of custom, state-of-the-art PCBs.
• PCB test and debugging.
• Collaborate with PCB designers, firmware, and software engineers to create embedded computing solutions.
