Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories is seeking an Electronics Technologist for soldering and assembly, onsite. The role focuses on hand soldering and rework of class 3 electronic assemblies, with test and rework on boards, cables, and components for critical satellite applications.

The position requires a year of hand soldering experience, ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance, and relevant certifications. Onsite work, with a soldering test as part of the interview process, is expected.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience hand soldering electronic components professionally.
• Ability to obtain a DOE Q clearance.
• Certification to J-STD-001 or IPC-7711/7721 is preferred.
• Associate's degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Hand solder, rework and repair electronic assemblies to class 3.
• Work at a bench with precision soldering up to 0201 size components.
• Maintain and audit kits and parts in Oracle for electronic assemblies.
