FinThrive is seeking a hands-on Director of Software Engineering to lead high-performing engineering teams responsible for delivering secure, scalable, cloud-native solutions that drive customer outcomes and business growth. Partner with Product Management, Architecture, and Executive Leadership to modernize our platform and accelerate AI-enabled delivery while ensuring operational excellence.

You will own the technical roadmap, drive modernization of legacy systems, and champion DevOps

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related technical field.
12+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years leading engineering managers and software development teams.
Experience delivering and operating enterprise-scale software products in cloud environments.
Deep experience modernizing legacy applications, monolithic systems, and on-premise platforms into cloud-native architectures.
Strong expertise in Azure, .NET, C#, Angular, APIs, distributed systems, and modern software architecture patterns.
Experience building and operating CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
Demonstrated success leading Agile software development organizations using Scrum or related methodologies.
Strong understanding of reliability engineering, application security, scalability, and performance optimization.
Experience implementing and measuring engineering effectiveness using DORA metrics, productivity KPIs, and operational metrics.
Deep understanding of AI-assisted software development and quality engineering tools.
Familiarity with Agentic AI platforms and practical applications of AI within enterprise software products.
Exceptional leadership, communication, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

Define and execute the product and technology roadmap with Product Management and senior leadership.
Modernize legacy applications and platforms, migrating to cloud-native architectures and modern frameworks.
Lead the evolution of a modern, cloud-native product with a compelling technology stack and scalable engineering.
Own the technical roadmap, including architecture, security, reliability, scalability, performance, and debt reduction.
Provide hands-on technical leadership through architecture reviews, design discussions, and coaching.
Leverage AI-powered development and testing tools to improve productivity, quality, and delivery speed; measure outcomes with KPIs.
Ensure predictable, high-quality delivery of customer commitments and product releases.
Drive operational excellence through incident management, root cause analysis, observability, and continuous improvement.
Champion modern DevOps practices including CI/CD, automated testing, IaC, and cloud automation.
Build, lead, coach, and develop engineering managers and engineers fostering accountability and learning.
Manage internal teams, contractors, and strategic technology partners to meet business objectives.
Ensure compliance with corporate policies, regulations, and security standards.
