Qualifications

• 15+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 7+ years leading large engineering organizations across multiple teams.
• Experience scaling engineering organizations and leading organizational transformation.
• Strong background with modern software architecture, including microservices, cloud-native platforms, event-driven architectures, DevSecOps, CI/CD.
• Experience building AI-enabled engineering organizations and implementing AI development practices.
• Strong understanding of software delivery, engineering metrics, and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple software engineering teams responsible for customer-facing and internal business applications.
• Develop and execute the engineering strategy, technical roadmap, and organizational vision.
• Build, mentor, and grow engineering leaders and software development teams.
• Drive modernization efforts across cloud-native platforms, APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
• Partner closely with Product, Operations, Sales, and executive leadership to align technology investments with business priorities.
• Improve engineering delivery, software quality, scalability, security, and operational excellence.
• Establish engineering best practices around architecture, CI/CD, testing, observability, and release management.
• Champion AI-assisted software development and identify opportunities to leverage emerging AI technologies across engineering workflows.

A rapidly growing technology organization is seeking a Senior Director of Software Engineering to lead a large, high-performing engineering organization responsible for delivering modern SaaS products and mission-critical business platforms.

This is an executive leadership opportunity for a results-driven software engineering leader with a proven track record of building AI-native engineering cultures and delivering AI-powered platforms within complex enterprise environments. We are looking for a transformational leader who can operationalize AI-first software development practices while establishing a culture centered on measurable engineering outcomes, delivery excellence, and continuous improvement.

Success in this role is defined by the ability to improve key software delivery metrics, increase engineering velocity, elevate product quality, accelerate time-to-market, and clearly communicate the business value and ROI of technology investments. Working closely with executive leadership, you will shape the organization's technology strategy, build and scale high-performing engineering teams, and lead the delivery of secure, scalable, cloud-native platforms that drive meaningful business results.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Strong background with modern software architecture, including:

• Experience building AI-enabled engineering organizations and implementing AI development practices
• Strong understanding of software delivery, engineering metrics, and operational excellence
• Experience partnering with executive leadership and cross-functional business teams
• Exceptional communication and leadership skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)

Preferred Experience

• Experience leading engineering teams in highly regulated or compliance-driven industries
• Background supporting complex enterprise transaction platforms
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, distributed systems, and large-scale SaaS environments
• Familiarity with AI/LLM technologies and practical enterprise implementations
