Job summary

RxSense LLC is seeking a Director of Data and Platform Architecture to lead a small AI engineering team. You will own end-to-end data architecture, including ingestion, ETL, transformation, and the reporting layer, while also owning platform infrastructure and devops for the team.

This is a hands-on leadership role with direct reports from day one, guiding architectural decisions and shipping production-grade code.

Qualifications

8+ years architecting and building platforms in production.
Proven, hands-on experience owning data architecture end to end, including ingestion, ETL and transformation, extracts, and the reporting or BI layer.
Proven, hands-on devops experience: you build, deploy, and operate the systems and infrastructure you design, and what you ship performs in production at scale.
A track record of writing and shipping production code yourself, not just diagrams.
Hands-on depth across the modern data stack: Spark, Kafka, NoSQL and document stores, data warehousing, and high-throughput transactional databases with PHI/PII handling.
Hands-on experience with devops tooling: GitOps, Kubernetes, and AWS or equivalent.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills; translate architecture decisions for non-technical leadership.
Experience mentoring engineers on architecture, data design, devops, and platform thinking.
Prior experience building/leading a team or readiness for direct reports.
Comfort in a small, fast-moving team.

Responsibilities

Own the data architecture end to end from landing data through ETL to dashboards.
Own devops and infrastructure for the AI engineering team end to end.
Set direction and standards for data infrastructure, pipelines, ETL, and platform reliability.
Design the extract and reporting layer for accurate dashboards.
Build and deploy the systems you design, with production-grade quality.
Write and ship code yourself.
Build and lead the data and platform team as it grows.
