Job summary

TEKsystems is seeking a Data Center Technician in Berwick, PA. This entry-level role focuses on hands-on hardware deployment, structured cabling, and supporting next-generation data center networks.

You will work within a collaborative team to install, test, and troubleshoot cabling and equipment, ensuring standards and documentation are maintained. You will participate in preparing hardware, laying cabling, rack receiving, and handing off to network teams, with opportunities to learn server

Qualifications

• Entry-level data center role with focus on hardware and cabling technologies.
• Basic understanding of computers, servers, switches, and network devices.
• Strong communication and professionalism when collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, and troubleshoot structured cabling.
• Install and maintain copper and fiber cabling infrastructure.
• Test fiber and copper cabling, patch panels, and patch cords.
• Ensure cabling and installations meet data center standards and best practices.
• Report progress via ticketing systems, daily status reports, email, and Slack.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to move and position hardware.
