Job summary

Unity Search has been retained by a growing distribution company in the Northwest Dallas area (Lewisville/Flower Mound/Lantana) to find a hands-on Corporate Controller to lead finance, accounting, treasury and reporting with a team of 3 staff.

The ideal candidate will oversee GAAP financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, tax compliance, and cash management while partnering with senior management to drive profitability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (required).
• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of GAAP-compliant financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow).
• Lead accounting operations including GL, AP, AR, payroll, and fixed assets.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting with department heads; monitor variances.
• Develop and maintain internal controls; coordinate internal/external audits.
• Oversee cash management and banking relationships; manage debt.
• Coordinate corporate tax filings and work with external tax advisors.
• Lead and develop accounting and finance staff; ensure cross-training and succession.
