Job summary

Cypress Healthcare Partners, LLC, based in Monterey, California, is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead its Accounting Department of 8–10 staff. The Controller is Cypress’s senior accounting professional, accountable for monthly financial statements, budgets, internal controls, cash management, audit support and client reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field.
• 10+ years progressive accounting experience with multi-entity exposure.
• Strong GAAP foundation; hands-on in month-end close and audits.
• Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, pivot tables, and data tools.
• Experience with mid-market ERP/accounting systems (e.g., Sage 100).

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close calendar for Cypress and all client entities; prepare journal entries, accruals and reconciliations.
• Prepare and deliver monthly financial statements to Cypress and clients on schedule.
• Administer client management fee arrangements and intercompany accounting.
• Lead annual budgeting and provide financial analyses and decision support.
• Design and enforce internal controls and cash management; support audits and tax filings.
