Job summary

A private equity backed client is seeking a Controller in Fort Worth, TX to manage special projects, assist with ERP migration, and develop internal controls. The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, preferably with a CPA, and have strong knowledge of accounting principles and ERP systems. This onsite role requires excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to lead the finance team and streamline financial processes.

Qualifications

Controller
Fort Worth, TX - Onsite

One of Vaco's private equity backed clients is looking to onboard a controller ASAP. They need someone that can be hands-on and in the weeds with the ability to build out a roadmap and streamline processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lots of special projects - cleaning up the Chart of Accounts, standardization work, not a ton of clean-up
• Will assist with ERP migration
• Headcount evaluation - assessing the admins, determining how many people they might need to add
• Monthly reporting to board and lendors
• Internal Controls: Develop and implement effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
• Audit Support: Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and responses to auditor inquiries.
• Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve financial processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the plant finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and professional development.
