Job summary

Vaco by Highspring in Converse, TX is seeking an experienced accounting leader to own the month-end close, review entries, and serve as the primary contact for a major entity carve-out project.

You will also lead year-end audit prep, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statement preparation, while partnering with leadership to support ongoing business initiatives and maintain strong internal controls.

Qualifications

• Hands‑on Controller or Assistant Controller level accounting leadership experience.
• Ability to independently manage the close process with minimal training.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
• Advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Help maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes
• Support knowledge transfer and transition activities if the role converts to a permanent hire

Location: Converse, TX (Onsite)
Pay Rate: $60-$75/hour
Duration: Mid-October 2026 through April 2027

What You'll Do

Schedule
