Dreamscape Hospitality in Charlottesville, VA is seeking an experienced, hands-on Chief Engineer to oversee the engineering operations of our full-service hotel. You will lead daily maintenance, plan preventative programs, and ensure safety, quality, and guest satisfaction through proactive management.

This role requires hands-on capabilities, comfort with aging properties, and the ability to mentor staff while coordinating with other departments to maintain brand standards and reliable

Qualifications

Hands-on Chief Engineer with hotel maintenance experience.
Experience with full-service brands and QA inspections.
Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems.
Willing to perform repairs daily and mentor staff.
Familiarity with aging properties and renovations preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead daily engineering operations and supervise maintenance tasks.
Personally perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programs.
Inspect property for safety, quality, and brand compliance.
Coordinate with other departments and manage capital projects.
Oversee life-safety systems, elevators, and access control.
Maintain records of work orders and maintenance activities.
