Job summary

VISPO is seeking a collaborative Chief Financial Officer to serve as a strategic leader and hands-on contributor in a community-driven broadband nonprofit. The CFO will partner with the Board and C-suite to ensure financial sustainability, drive budgeting and forecasting, and build scalable financial systems for 31 towns served by ECFiber.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business with concentration/minor in Accounting is required.
• Strong accounting, financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analytical skills.
• Experience in startup/nonprofit/mission-driven organizations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involves budgeting, forecasting, accounting oversight, and financial reporting.
• Collaborates with accounting partners, vendors, and staff to ensure timely financial operations.
• Monitors cash flow, reserves, capital spending, debt, and funding opportunities.
• Develops financial models to support growth, infrastructure investments, and sustainability.
• Prepares and presents financial reports and forecasts to the Board and C-suite.
