Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in café roles (barista, lead, supervisor or manager).
• Current Food Protection Manager / Food Manager in Charge certification.
• Dependable, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Hands-on with equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Strong communication skills to lead a team and coordinate with owner.
• Organized with checklist and systems discipline.
• Familiar with food safety and sanitation standards.
• Operational experience with cash, POS systems, and daily café operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example by regularly working barista shifts.
• Maintain service standards, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Train and coach staff; manage certifications; cover calls.
• Troubleshoot and maintain espresso machines and refrigeration.
• Monitor inventory; coordinate ordering and stocking.
• Oversee cash levels and resolve POS issues.
• Collaborate with owner, lead baristas, and head baker.
• Address problems proactively and follow through.
