Job summary

Grand Central Bakery is seeking an Assistant Café Manager in Seattle. The role supports café operations, trains staff, and serves as PIC. The candidate will coach teams, ensure excellent service, and assist the Café Manager with payroll and scheduling.

The position requires weekend availability and flexibility to work opening, mid, and closing shifts at multiple café locations. Previous café leadership is preferred and helps ensure consistent product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Two or more years’ experience in a café, restaurant, or coffee shop; leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead teams to deliver exceptional customer service and follow the 3 steps to great service.
• Motivate and model positive cafe leadership; provide coaching and feedback.
• Cover in the Café Manager’s absence and support scheduling, payroll, and training.
• Assist in hiring and training new team members on menu, POS, and operations.
• Support safety, food safety, and café cost control.
