Job summary

Spot On Talent represents a client in Dallas seeking a hands-on building engineer for a Class A office tower undergoing a major renovation. You will report to the Senior Property Manager and work with a small team of engineers across the Dallas portfolio while coordinating with renovation construction teams.

You will perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems, monitor critical building systems, review renovation plans, and support with on-call duties.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on building engineering experience in Class A office properties.
• Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems with chiller and domestic water pump experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics and control diagrams.
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office.
• On-site availability during on-call weeks.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs across HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Monitor critical building systems and keep equipment within design capability.
• Respond to tenant work orders with courteous service and document work in the CMMS.
• Coordinate with outside contractors, including renovation teams.
• Review renovation plans and act as engineering on the ground for the capital project.
• Maintain lighting, carpentry and locksmith tasks and keep maintenance records.
• Share every-other-week on-call rotation for after-hours emergencies.
