Job summary

Ascend Talent Solutions is seeking a Building Engineer for a Class A office property in Dallas, TX, near the Galleria. You will maintain day-to-day operations across electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and grounds to ensure reliable performance and a safe, appealing environment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, managing work orders, energy management, and reporting. The role requires at least 1 year in CRE/retail maintenance and a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of related work experience in commercial real estate/retail maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of general facilities maintenance, including basic plumbing, electrical and flooring.
• Familiarity with safety rules and regulations applicable to building maintenance.
• Some college coursework is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance and operation of all grounds, building systems, hardware & equipment to ensure operation within design capabilities and to achieve proper environmental conditions.
• Preventive maintenance as prescribed by manufacturer recommendations and specifications.
• Maintain the professional appearance of grounds, building systems, hardware & engineering spaces.
• Open, assign, update and close all electronic work orders; update preventive maintenance schedules and scopes of work; generate reports.
