Job summary

C&C Group plc in Lenexa, KS is seeking a Controls Engineer to support installation, programming, commissioning, and ongoing service of DDC and building automation systems. This role works with customers and internal teams to deliver fully functional systems that meet project requirements and company standards.

Ideal candidates will have an associate degree and at least 5 years of HVAC/building automation experience, strong ability to read plans and control drawings, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in HVAC systems, temperature controls or building automation.
• Strong ability to read and interpret plans, specifications and control drawings.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing, programming, startup, commissioning, and service on assigned projects.
• Interpret control drawings, plans, and specs to mount, assemble, test, and program building automation systems.
• Analyze, diagnose, and repair DDC systems at customer sites.
• Perform preventative maintenance, site surveys, and system modifications as requested.
• Coordinate project activities with project managers, engineers, and field teams.
• Provide customer training and technical support as needed.
• Maintain strong customer relationships by addressing concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
