P1 Service, LLC. in Lenexa, KS is seeking a dynamic Controls Engineer to support automation and controls projects, develop submittal packages, coordinate parts procurement, and maintain project schedules for on-time delivery.

You will develop control sequences, programming, GUIs, and integrate building systems with the Building Management System, while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and delivering complete closeout documentation.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college with HVAC certificate or BAS/AAS
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred
• 2+ years HVAC controls experience preferred
• Experience with logic programming, data networking, cybersecurity, or graphical design

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of project submittal packages and control drawings
• Procure components and equipment for projects
• Develop and implement control sequences and programming
• Create and maintain GUIs and system visualizations
• Integrate building automation systems with BMS
• Assist with troubleshooting, testing, and startup activities
• Provide technical assistance to sales, operations, and project teams
• Participate in customer and owner training
• Develop DDC control databases, point mapping, and system documentation
• Review equipment submittals for compatibility
• Maintain accurate project records and closeout documentation
• Pursue continuous technical development through training and publications
