Job summary

FHP Manufacturing, located in Fort Lauderdale, FL, seeks an Assembly Team Lead to oversee daily assembly line operations, train new hires, and ensure quality while meeting production schedules.

You will coordinate activities for 10–15 staff, champion lean principles, and maintain safe, efficient processes. Strong communication skills and flexibility to work across departments are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Manufacturing experience in assembly and/or CNC preferred.
• Ability to coordinate tasks of a 10–15 person team.
• Must read, write, and speak English.
• Ability to work overtime when requested.
• Willingness to work in other departments as needed.
• Ability to read and apply work instructions and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Area Supervisor to manage daily assembly line activities.
• Act as trainer and mentor for new hires and cross-training initiatives.
• Implement and promote lean manufacturing principles for continuous improvement.
• Ensure timely delivery of components and finished units to production schedules.
• Read and interpret work instructions, drawings, and SHS documents.
• Use manual/power tools and measuring devices to assemble appliances and perform tests.
• Inspect finished products for quality and manage non-conforming materials.
• Rework units to meet quality standards when required.
• Support a safe and organized work environment through proper material handling.
